Hello, I am an accomplished English and History tutor with three years experience. I really enjoy the one-on-one aspect of tutoring. It allows me to focus on one specific student and area of instruction. This plays directly into the teaching style I am most comfortable with, though I am well versed in a classroom setting. Along with history and English, I also have experience in special education and ESL. I was a special education teacher for a year, and developed lesson plans for my own students. This is what I do when tutoring, as well.History fascinates me because you can always search and discover more. There is no limit to what can be learned. History can be observed and learned from multiple different perspectives. I also enjoy broadening students' horizons with English and assisting in letting the imagination run wild. It is very rewarding to see a student's thought process mature and grow. Other areas I tutor are essay editing, reading, elementary and middle school math, social studies, and test prep. Outside of the classroom I enjoy a number of hobbies such as watching movies, watching and participating in sports, listening to and playing music, and many others.
